WHEEL LOADER,
Information:
Example of an Operating Cycle
The following is an example of an operator that is using the Payload Control System. You will not need to perform all of the following operations when you are loading most trucks. The PCS is a tool that will help the operator to load trucks accurately. An experienced operator will be able to monitor the loads with few reweigh conditions. The operator begins a loading cycle with four passes of the truck. First, press the "CLEAR" key. This action will clear the display and prepare the PCS for the first bucket load.First Bucket Load
The operator loads the bucket. The operator then lifts the bucket. The engine speed should be maintained at a comfortable operating speed as you lift the bucket and travel to the truck.
Illustration 3 g00585613
When the bucket reaches the weigh range, the system begins to weigh the load that is in the bucket. The display will show dashes as the system weighs the load.
Illustration 4 g00585653
As the bucket reaches the top of the weigh range, the top line of the display will show a numerical figure. This figure indicates the payload that is in the bucket. This payload is 11,100 lbs (11.11 x 1000). The bottom line shows the total amount of material that has been loaded into the truck. This number is the total amount of material that is in the truck and the amount of material that is in the bucket. In the first bucket load, no material has been loaded into the truck. Therefore, the weight of material that is in the bucket matches the weight of the material that is in the truck. The reweigh indicator (1) is off, indicating that a good weight has been taken. The material can now be dumped into the truck.Note: Resolution of material may vary depending on the material.Second Bucket Load
The operator loads the second bucket. The operator lifts the bucket while the machine is traveling to the truck.
Illustration 5 g00585682
The display shows dashes, until the weighing is completed. The display will show "CALC" until the payload is calculated, then the above will be shown on the display. Loading the Third Bucket and the Reweigh Light Comes On
Illustration 6 g00984633
The operator loads the third bucket. The operator lifts the bucket. The operator inadvertently stops lifting the bucket. The operator then continues to lift the bucket to dump height. The reweigh indicator (1) will come on. The top line of the display will alternate between the weight and the message "REW".
The operator reweighs the bucket by pressing the "REW" key.The load that is in the bucket is weighed again by lowering the bucket and raising the bucket. The new payload of the bucket is displayed and the operator dumps the load into the truck.Press the "REW" key so the previous bucket will be accepted.ReferenceFor more information, refer to System Operation, Troubleshooting, Testing and Adjusting, "Payload Control System, Additional Key Functions, "REW" Key (Reweigh)".
Illustration 7 g00585757
The display of the new bucket load is shown. The load of the truck is recalculated. This
