The fan is mounted to the splined shaft (2) of the piston motor. A hydraulic pump sends high pressure oil through hoses to the fan motor. As high pressure oil enters the fan motor, the oil fills the cavity (7) of pistons (4). The pistons are arranged in a circular pattern in the pump. When the high pressure oil enters the pistons, the pistons are fully pressed into the rotator (3). The pistons are forced into the rotator by the position of plate (5). Plate (5) remains stationary.The high pressure oil in the cavity (6) of the piston (4) begins to expel the piston from the rotator. As the piston begins to move down, the pistons rotate around the plate (5). The rotator is splined to the shaft. The movement of the rotator causes the shaft to rotate. This turns the fan.
