Information:

Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine. To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following:Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.Lower the bucket and/or attachments to the ground and engage the parking brake.Stop the engine and remove the key.Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.
The double stall test is used for determining pump performance and in diagnostic procedures. The torque converter stall test provides an engine speed for comparison with the engine speed from the double stall test. The service brakes must be applied when the tests are performed. Make sure that the service brakes are fully operational before you perform any tests.Make sure that the transmission oil is at the normal operating temperature of 80° to 105°C (121° to 176°F) when any tests are performed. The drive wheels must not turn during this double stall test. Position the machine against a solid, stationary object such as a loading dock and engage the parking brake.
Apply the service brakes and start the engine.Note: To ensure that the transmission oil does not overheat, do not keep the torque converter in a full stall condition for more than 30 seconds. After the torque converter is stalled, move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position and run the engine between 1200 rpm and 1500 rpm in order to cool the oil.
Disengage the parking brake. Shift the transmission direction and speed control to THIRD SPEED FORWARD and fully depress the accelerator pedal.

Allow the engine rpm to stabilize. Then, observe the tachometer. The correct torque converter stall speed should be 1910 100 rpm. The hydraulic oil temperature should be 79° 5°C (174° 9°F).
Apply the parking brake. Wait for at least two minutes between tests in order to allow the transmission oil to cool.
Disengage the parking brake. Shift the transmission direction and speed control to THIRD SPEED FORWARD and fully depress the accelerator pedal.
Move the tilt control lever to the TILT BACK position and hold the control lever in this position.
Allow the engine rpm to stabilize. Then, observe the tachometer. The correct double stall speed is 1815 100 rpm. The hydraulic oil temperature should be 79° 5°C (174° 9°F).Double stall speeds that are too high or too low indicate improper pump performance. The pump must then be tested.Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Pump Flow - Test" in order to determine the condition of the implement pump.
