New Flow and Pressure Adjustments Are Required If EDI 863 Warning Appears
Note: The pressure must first be adjusted before the timed flow setting can be set.Initial Flow Adjustment
Loosen the locknut on the screw of the flow control by turning the locknut counterclockwise.
Turn the screw clockwise, until the screw bottoms out.
Turn the screw counterclockwise for one quarter of a turn (90 degrees).
Tighten the locknut.Pressure Adjustment
Loosen the locknut on the pressure control valve by turning the locknut counterclockwise.
Run a manual lube cycle. If the pressure is correct, the pump will shut off in 20 seconds. If the pressure is below 24000 kPa (3500 psi), the pressure will remain stable for an additional 20 seconds in order to allow time for adjustment.
Perform the following steps in order to adjust the pressure:
Wait until the pressure stops increasing.
Turn the screw for the pressure control clockwise until the pump shuts off. This step must be completed within 20 seconds.
Turn the screw of the pressure control in the clockwise direction for one additional turn.
Tighten the locknut on the pressure control valve by turning the locknut clockwise.Timed Flow Adjustment
Loosen the locknut on the screw of the flow control by turning the locknut counterclockwise.
Use a timer to time the lube cycle from zero to 24000 kPa (3500 psi).
If the time is less than 30 seconds, adjust the screw clockwise in order to obtain a time of 30 to 60 seconds from zero to 24000 kPa (3500 psi) on manual or automatic mode.
Tighten the locknut.
