Personal injury can result from hot coolant, steam and alkali.At operating temperature, engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot coolant or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns.Remove cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure only when engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not attempt to tighten hose connections when the coolant is hot, the hose can come off causing burns.Cooling System Coolant Additive contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities" for the correct draining and filling procedure.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedure.
Drain the transmission oil. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
Raise the hood by activating the switch. Turn off the disconnect switch after the hood has been raised.

Remove clips (1). Remove baffle assembly (2). Remove clip (3).

Remove clips (4) and (5) from the air conditioning hose assemblies. Remove clip (6) from the harness assembly.

View from underneath the cooling package and above the fuel tank.
Disconnect hose (7) and remove clips (8).

Disconnect harness assembly (9) from the fuel level sensor.

Disconnect hose assembly (10) and hose (11). Repeat for the opposite side of the transmission oil cooler.

Remove boot (12) and fuel fill tube (13).

Position Tooling (A) under fuel tank (14). The weight of fuel tank (14) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb)
Remove bolts (15) from both sides of fuel tank (14). Remove mount bolt (16).

Lower fuel tank (14).
Remove bolts (18). Use two people to remove transmission oil cooler (17). The weight of transmission oil cooler (17) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb).Installation Procedure
Install transmission oil cooler (17) in the reverse order of removal.
