The adjuster for drop time is controlled by a control dial (2) . The setting of the control dial (2) will vary depending on the size of the magnet. The setting of the control dial also depends on the size of the load. Use the procedure below in order to achieve the best drop time for a given magnet.
Determine the size of the magnet that is installed on the machine. Also determine the size and weight of the load.
Start the setting of control dial (2) at "7".
Lift the load and drop the load at consecutively higher settings or lower settings until a clean drop is achieved.If a clean drop is not achieved increase the drop time by using control dial (2) . If the load is pulled back into the magnet, decrease the drop time by using control dial (2) .Note: Do not use the magnet to work over one object continuously. Consistent work on one object can magnetize an object.
