Exit "VIMSpc". Disconnect the 363-3406 Cable As from the laptop computer.

Connect Caterpillar ET and select the "VIMS Main Module". Confirm that the "Application Software Part Number" is correct.Note: The "Application Software Part Number" should have the same part number as the VIMS ECM configuration software provided by the DSN representative.
Is this machine fitted with Command for Underground?
NO - This machine is not fitted with Command for Underground. Proceed to Step 17.
YES - This machine is fitted with Command for Underground. Proceed to ""Command for Underground Equipped Machines""
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position. Disconnect Caterpillar ET from the machine.
Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".Command for Underground Equipped Machines
Note: ""Flash File Software - Install"" and ""Configuration File - Install"" must be completed before performing this procedure.
