Rework Procedure
Fan Pulley Adaptor Steel Tube Rework Procedure:
The top adaptor and steel tube supplying the oil to the fan to reverse the blades may contact the smaller diameter pulley. If this is the case, then perform the following Rework Steps. Refer to Image1.1.1.

1. Remove the 278-7531 Steel Tube from the top 148-8385 Adaptor and the 276-5394 Hose.
2. Leave the 164-5570 Adaptor in the hose and fit a new 278-7530 Tube Assembly. The 148-8385 Adaptor and the new 278-7530 Tube Assembly will need to be orientated in order to give clearance between the engine and pulley. Refer to Image1.2.1, 1.2.2, and 1.2.3.
The tightening specification for the adaptor to the engine is 20 +/- 2 N.m.
The tightening specification for the tube to the adaptor is 15 +/- 2 N.m.

3. Remove the tube 5K-2298 Clip that secures the two original tubes to the engine.
4. Clamp the existing tube with a 8M-2772 Clip.
5. Tighten the existing bolt to a specified torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m.
6. Secure the new tube by removing the engine cover bolt. Refer to Image1.3.1. Reuse the bolt in order to secure the new tube using a 8M-2772 Loop Clip.
7. Add an 8T-4224 Washer under the bolt head and a second 8T-4224 Washer between the clip and engine. Tighten the bolt to a specified torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m.

8. Reroute the 276-5394 Supply Hose as follows. Remove the hose from the bracket in the frame.
9. The two supply hoses are clipped with a 5K-5338 Hose Clip. Remove this clip. The 5K-5338 Hose Clip will not be reused. Reinstall the bottom hose with a new 067-2551 Clip.
10. Tighten the existing bolt to a specified torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m.

11. Reroute the removed 276-5394 Hose and secure the hose to the steel tube, using a new 200-7345 Swivel Mount and three new 204-2281 Cable Straps. Refer to Image1.5.1.

12. Attach the rerouted 276-5394 Hose to the new steel 278-7530 Tube Assembly. Tighten to a specified torque of 25 +/- 2 N.m. Refer to image1.6.1.

13. Recheck clearances before starting the machine.
