start by:a) remove radiator and radiator guard (power shift)b) remove radiator and radiator guard (direct drive and special application) 1. Remove six bolts (1) and vibration damper (2) from the pulley. 2. Remove the tension from vee belt (3) and remove it from the pulley.3. Remove bolt (4) and washer (5). Install two 3/4" flat washers, washer (5) and bolt (4) back into the threaded hole in the crankshaft.
The two flat washers, washer (5) and bolt (4) will keep the pulley on the crankshaft when it is loosened from the taper on the end of the crankshaft with tooling (A).
4. Loosen pulley (6) with tooling (A). Remove tooling (A), bolt (4), washer (5) and the two flat washers from the crankshaft. Remove pulley (6).Install Vibration Damper And Pulley
1. Put pulley (1) in position on the end of the crankshaft. Install the bolt and washer that hold it.2. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 307 25 N m (230 20 lb. ft.). Hit (tap) the end of the bolt with a hammer. Tighten the bolt again to a torque of 307 25 N m (230 20 lb. ft.).3. Put the vee belt on the pulley and adjust the tension. See V-Belt tension chart in the Specifications.4.
