Lower the temperature of bearing (24) and install bearing (24) into housing (23) .

Install bolts (25) into turbine (27). Tighten bolts (25) to a torque of 60 7 N m (44 5 lb ft).

Lower the temperature of hub assembly (26) and install hub assembly (26) .

Note: Check the O-ring seal for wear or for damage. If necessary, replace the O-ring seal.
Install a new O-ring seal (20). Install spacer (22). Use Tooling (C) and install retaining ring (21) .

Position cover (19) and install retaining ring (18) .

Lower the temperature of bearing (17) and install bearing (17) .

Position gear (15) onto impeller (16). Install bolts (14). Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 105 15 N m (77 11 lb ft).

Install retaining ring (13) onto carrier assembly (12) .

Use a soft faced hammer and install carrier assembly (12) into impeller (9) .

Install spacer (10). Use Tooling (C) and install retaining ring (11) onto carrier assembly (12) .

Install stator (7) onto carrier assembly (12). Install retaining ring (5). Use Tooling (C) and install retaining ring (6) .

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) onto the impeller and carrier assembly. The weight of the impeller and carrier assembly is approximately 36 kg (80 lb). Install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 60 7 N m (44 5 lb ft).

Position the torque converter assembly in order to install cover (2). The weight of the torque converter assembly is approximately 75 kg (165 lb). Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto cover (2). The weight of cover (2) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb). Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).End By: Connect the torque converter to the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter - Connect".
