ACTION REQUIRED
The GNSS antennas must be replaced with new GNSS antennas that have the new internal components to mitigate the wireless interference to the Japan region.
Remove the 3867311/">386-7311-01 GNSS Antennas from the top of the cab/ROPS and replace with the new 3867311/">386-7311-02 GNSS Antennas. Confirm that the antennas obtained from Caterpillar are change level 02 before replacement of machine GNSS antennas.
The 3867311/">386-7311 GNSS Antennas are bolted from underneath using 8T-4121 (12) washers and 8T-4137 (13) bolts. The mounting plate for the GNSS Antennas are secured to the machine by three bolts 8T-4183 (16) and washers 8T-7971 (14).
The 3867311/">386-7311 GNSS Antennas mounting varies slightly across D6K, D6N, D6T, and D8T models.
As long as the 3867311/">386-7311 GNSS Antennas are mounted back in the same location of the previous antennas, no new Grade Control system measure-up will be required.
With the new 3867311/">386-7311 GNSS Antennas, confirm that the machine has a good GNSS signal by checking the number of connected satellites, high left GNSS Datalink Integrity, and low Vertical and Horizontal Error.
