(1) The 285-5989 Engine Turning Tooling is alternate tooling.
(2) Use with 19.0 mm (3/4 inch) main bearing cap bolts.
(3) Use with 22.2 mm (7/8 inch) main bearing cap bolts.Start By:
Remove the oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove covers (1) from the side of the engine.
Use Tooling (A) to rotate the crankshaft. Rotate the crankshaft to position the counterweight on the top.
