Stop the engine, lower the blade to the ground, move control levers forward and backward to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly, loosen the cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
1. Remove guard (1) from the tilt cylinder. 2. Disconnect oil lines (2) and (3) from the tilt cylinder. 3. Fasten a hoist to the tilt cylinder. Remove the bolt and retainer (4) that hold pin (5) for the head end of the tilt cylinder in the bracket of the C-frame. Remove pin (5).4. Remove the bolt and retainer (7) (not shown) that hold pin (6) for the rod end of the tilt cylinder in to the blade. Remove pin (6). 5. Slide the rod end of the tilt cylinder (9) from the blade and remove spacers (8) from each side. Remove tilt cylinder (9). The weight is 27 kg (60 lb). The following steps are for installation of the tilt cylinder.6. Fasten a hoist to the tilt cylinder (9). Put the head end of tilt cylinder (9) in position. Put spacers (8) on each side of the rod end and put the rod end in position on the blade.7. Install pin (6) that holds the rod end of the tilt cylinder to the blade. Install the retainer and bolt (7), that hold pin (6) for the rod end of the tilt cylinder in place.8. Install pin (5) that holds the head end of the tilt cylinder in place. Install the retainer and bolt (4) that hold pin (5) for the head end of the lift cylinder in the bracket of the C-frame.9. Connect oil lines (2) and (3) to the tilt cylinder.10. Install guard (1) for the tilt cylinder.11. Fill the hydraulic system with oil to the correct level. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
