TURBO GP-BASIC 0R9956 - Caterpillar

1. Remove make-up valve housing (1), valve (2) and spring (3) from valve (4). 2. Remove pressure relief valve (5).3. Remove bolts (6), body (7) and tube (8). 4. Remove seal (9) and tube (8) from the body. 5. Check the condition of seals (10) and (11). Do not loosen locknut (12) or move adjustment screw (13). 6. Remove check valve plug (17), spring (16) and check valve (15).7. Remove check valve (14) the same way. 8. Remove the valve spool retainer bolts (19) and remove the retainer and valve spool (18). 9. Remove the plug and shims (20), spring (21) and ball (23) from valve body (22).10. Remove the remaining plugs, shims, springs and balls.11. Remove valve spool retainer. 12. Put spool in valve body and loosen detent (24) as shown. 13. Remove detent (24), spacer (25), spring (26) and spacer (27) from spool (28). 14. Remove spacers and bolts (29) and plate (30).15. Remove the bolt and lock from the spool. 16. Remove spacers (32) and spring (31).Assemble A Two Spool Control Valve
Put oil on all parts before assembly. Keep work area clean and use only lint-free cloth or paper.1. Put valve spool in valve body. 2. Install spacers (1), spring (2), bolt and lock.3. Use tool setup (A) as shown and tighten bolt to 24 2 lb. ft. (33 3 N m). 4. Install plate (4) and spacers and bolts (3).5. Put other valve spool in valve body. 6. Install spacers (7), spring (5) and detent (6).7. Use tool setup (B) as shown and tighten detent to 24 2 lb. ft. (33 3 N m).8. Install the retainer and the retainer bolts and locks. Do not tighten the bolts. 9. Install all of the balls (8), springs (9) and shims and plugs (10). 10. Use tool setup (B) and tighten all of the plugs to 9 2 lb. ft. (12 3 N m). 11. Position retainer (12) so detent (6) is in center of hole in retainer. Tighten bolts (11) evenly. 12. Inspect seal (16). If damaged put on a new seal.13. Install check valve (13), spring (15) and plug (17).14. Install check valve (14) the same way. 15. The pressure setting of a new relief valve (18) is correct. 16. Install tube (19) on body (20). Install a new seal (21) if necessary. 17. Install body (20) on valve (22) and install relief valve (18) in the body. 18. Install spring (25) in make-up valve (26). Install new seal (24) if necessary.19. Install the make-up valve and spring in housing (23) and install them on valve (22).
