Installing the Backhoe on the Machine
1. Position the machine near the backhoe. Leave clearance to allow installation of hoses between the machine and the backhoe.2. Apply the parking brake. Stop the engine. Engage the hydraulic controls to relieve pressure.
Do not stand between machine and the backhoe when attaching the backhoe.
Check quick connect couplings for full engagement before starting engine.Backhoe hydraulic hoses on rear of tractor must be coupled together whenever backhoe is disconnected. Uncoupled hoses will result in hydraulic pump failure.Do not couple or uncouple backhoe hydraulic hose quick connects with tractor engine running. Control valve failure will result.
3. Remove the hose from the coupling on the machine.4. Remove the hose from the coupling on the backhoe. 5. Install the hose removed from the coupling on the machine (1) to the coupling on the backhoe.6. Install the hose removed from the coupling on the backhoe (2) to the coupling on the machine. 7. Start the engine. Move the machine nearer to the backhoe.8. Align the lower mounting pins with the lower hooks of the mounting brackets. 9. Engage the stabilizer controls to raise the backhoe (apply down pressure.10. Lower the backhoe, using the controls, into the hooks on the mounting brackets. 11. Engage the boom control to align the upper mounting pin holes. 12. Install the mounting pins, one on each side. 13. Install the lock pins, one on each side.Removing the Backhoe
Do not stand between the machine and the backhoe when removing the backhoe.
1. Lower the bucket and the stabilizers to the ground.2. Apply the parking brake. Stop the engine. 3. Remove the lock pins and mounting pins. (It may be necessary to engage the boom control to free the mounting pins.)4. Start the engine. 5. Engage the stabilizer controls (apply down pressure) to raise the backhoe out of the hooks in the mounting bracket.6. Release the parking brake. 7. Slowly move the machine away from the backhoe to provide necessary clearance to remove the hydraulic hoses.
Raise the stabilizers to allow the main frame to sit on the ground.
8. Apply the parking brake. Stop the engine.9. Engage the hydraulic controls to relieve the hose pressure. 10. Remove the hose from the coupling on the machine.11. Remove the hose from the coupling on the backhoe. 12. Install the hose removed from the coupling on the machine (1) to the coupling on the backhoe.13. Install the hose removed from the coupling on the backhoe (2) to the coupling on the machine.
This hose must be installed or the hydraulic pump will be damaged.
Installing the Bucket
1. Block the bucket to prevent movement. Engage the boom and stick controls to align the bucket linkage holes with the bucket mounting holes. 2. Install the bucket mounting pins. 3. Install the spacers and cotter pins.Removing the Bucket
1. Lower the bucket to the ground. Block the bucket to prevent bucket movement.2. Remove the cotter pins and spacers. 3. Remove the bucket mounting pins. Engage the boom control to raise the bucket linkage from the bucket.Installing
