1273 PS50026 This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS50026" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the June 14, 2000 Service Letter. Changes have been made the Affected Product.

PROBLEM
The fuel sender may fail on certain D6R Track Type Tractors. A failed sender can cause the fuel gage to display an incorrect fuel level. An improved fuel level sender can be installed if the existing sender fails.

Refer to the Service Manual as required.
For open ROPS machines, remove the former fuel level sender, and install the new sender. When the sender is installed, secure the harness as shown in the picture below to reduce the potential for harness damage.
For EROPS machines, remove the bolts retaining the fuel tank, scoot the tank back enough to remove the old sender, and install the new sender. When the sender is installed, secure the harness as shown in the picture below to reduce the potential for harness damage.
