1. Install bevel gear and shaft in the steering clutch case.2. Install the shims (2) that were removed at disassembly.3. Install enough shims (3) so there is a small amount of end play in bevel gear shaft (5). Tighten all of the bolts (1) and (4) before checking the end play of bevel gear shaft (5).4. Measure the end play of bevel gear shaft and remove bolts (4) and enough shims (3) so there is no end play for the bevel gear shaft.5. Remove an additional .007 in.
