1. Put the torque converter, transmission and transfer gears in position on wood blocks as shown. 2. Remove the bolts and outlet relief valve (1) from the torque converter. 3. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to hydraulic pump (2) as shown.4. Remove the bolts and hydraulic pump (2) from the transmission oil pump. The weight of the pump is 30 kg (66 lb.). 5. Remove the bolts and tube assembly (3) from the transmission oil pump and the transfer gear case.6. Remove the six bolts and transmission oil pump (4). Two 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws (7) can be used to loosen torque converter (6) from the transmission.7. Fasten a 3/4"-10 NC forged eyebolt (5) and a hoist to torque converter (6) as shown.8. Remove the bolts and nuts, and remove torque converter (6) from the transmission. The weight of the torque converter is 143 kg (315 lb.).
