Remove the pin from the top of the blade by using the pin extractor.Note: Keep the pin away from dirt and other foreign material.

Tilt the left side of the blade in order to extract the block.

Fold the outer section of the blade toward the rear of the machine.
Reinsert the two pins and install the retainers in order to lock the pins into position.Note: The O-ring seals must be free of dirt and free of other foreign materials before installation.

Lock the folded section of the blade into position with the M24 bolt and nut.

Lock the bottom of the blade into the folded position with hook (5) and secure the hook with plate (4) .

Repeat the procedure to move the other section of the blade into the folded position.
In order to fold the blade to the original position, reverse and follow the same procedure.Maintenance Intervals
Refer to table 2 for maintenance intervals for the two foldable blades. Perform the scheduled maintenance at the recommended interval or before the recommended interval. Maintenance intervals may need to be shortened in extreme applications.

MPGL is used for heavily loaded bearings and heavily loaded joints. Cat MPGL is an extreme pressure grease that maximizes the life of Caterpillar equipment.
