Removal Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, thoroughly clean the exterior of the component in order to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Open the hood.

Release latches (1) and remove cover (2) from the air cleaner housing.

If necessary, remove the seal from the cover. Mark the position of tab (3) for installation purposes.

Remove primary element (4) from the air cleaner housing.

Remove secondary element (5) from the air cleaner housing.

Loosen two hose clamps (7) and remove two hose assemblies (8) from the air cleaner assembly.
Remove bolts (6) and remove air cleaner housing (9) from the machine.Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, thoroughly clean the exterior of the component in order to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Check the seal for damage or for wear. Replace the seal, if necessary.

Position air cleaner housing (9) on the machine. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 12 2 N m (105 15 lb in).
Install two hose assemblies (8) on the air cleaner assembly and tighten two hose clamps (7) .

Install secondary element (5) in the air cleaner housing.

Install primary element (4) in the air cleaner housing.

If necessary, align tab (3) and install the seal in the cover.

Position cover (2) on the air cleaner housing. Secure latches (1) .
Close the hood.
