The new exhaust manifold sections are the end sections that connect to the turbocharger inlet. The new manifold sections included a threaded port where a temperature sensor can be installed. The temperature sensor would measure turbocharger inlet temperature.
Locations of the new 128-9509 Exhaust Manifold Section (1) and 126-9190 Exhaust Manifold Section (2) in 9Y-4862, 9Y-4863, or 9Y-4864 Exhaust Manifold Groups. Plug (3) is removed when the temperature sensor is installed.Adaptable To: The new 128-9509 Exhaust Manifold Section and 8T-6765 Pipe Plug are a direct replacement for the former 7E-8479 Exhaust Manifold Section. The new 126-9190 Exhaust Manifold Section and 8T-6765 Pipe Plug are a direct replacement for the former 7E-8482 Exhaust Manifold Section. The former exhaust manifold sections are canceled. The new exhaust manifold sections are used in the 9Y-4862 (3516 engines), 9Y-4863 (3512 engines), and 9Y-4864 (3508 engines) Exhaust Manifold Groups.
