Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Connect Cat ET the service tool connector.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Select the appropriate ECM from the list in Cat ET.
You are on the main menu. Select the "Service Configuration" menu item. Double click to select the appropriate sales model.
Select a sales model. Note: After selecting the correct sales model, Cat® ET will exit out of the configuration menu.
Cycle power with the key start switch. Leave the key start switch in the OFF position for a minimum of 10 seconds.
With the key start switch returned to the ON position, Cat ET will initiate communications with all ECM modules on the machine.
Select the ECM.
From the main menu, select the "Service Configuration" menu item.
Click on the "Data Link Disconnect" button.
Disconnect the ET from the service tool connector.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position. Service Tool Support
The Transmission ECU supports the Caterpillar Electronic Technician. This tool will be used in configuring the machine for different configurations for OEM purposes.
Open Cat ET by double clicking the application.
Select the "Transmission 621K" ECM to connect.

Once the connection is established, click the "Configuration" Icon as shown in Illustration 1.

Expand or Click the "ECM Identification Parameters" under "Transmission 621K".

To configure the OEM application that would enable/disable/change the features, double click the "Application Number".

Enter "0", if it is an OEM with ALL the implement functions to be DISABLED.
Enter "10", if it is a Kress OEM.
Enter "20", if it is an OEM that would require FEW (Cushion Hitch and Implement Lockout Switch) of the implement functions to be ENABLED.
Enter "21", if it is an OEM that requires ALL the implement functions to be ENABLED.
Performing Step 5 would bring up the above dialog box to enter the "Application Number" to configure based on the OEM the machine will be employed.
