Removal Procedure
Release the hood latch and lift the machine hood to the raised position.
Install two nylon straps around each side of the machine hood and attach a lifting device.

Remove metal clip (1) from the socket end of strut (2) .
Raise the nylon lifting straps. This will keep the machine hood in the raised position.
Remove the metal clip (1) from the socket end of strut (2) on the other side of the machine hood.
Remove the struts from the inside of the machine hood.

Lower the machine hood to the closed position.

Remove four bolts (3) .

Slowly remove machine hood (4) from the machine. The weight of the machine hood is 50 kg (110 lb).Installation Procedure

Attach two nylon lifting straps and a suitable lifting device to machine hood (4) .

Install machine hood (4) in position on the machine.

Align machine hood (4) to the hinges. Install four bolts (3) in order to secure machine hood (4) to the frame.
Raise the machine hood with the nylon straps.
Install strut (2) onto the ball socket of the machine hood.

Install clip (1) on strut (2) and secure the strut.Note: The strut must be securely attached to the machine hood. The machine hood will drop if the strut would release.
Lower the machine hood and check for proper alignment.
