SV6-KG-2G Test Plug If the Boost Pressure Dependent Fuel Limitation application is NOT needed, the SV6-KG-2G Test Plug is NOT needed. The Heinzmann Tester can be connected directly to the KG30 Governor Control Unit.In order to adjust the SW 50-03 Setpoint Adjuster, the Heinzmann Tester and the wiring harness for the KG30 Governor Control Unit are required. The SV 6-KG-2G (MS 3102-A12S-3S or equivalent) Test Plug with approximately 0.5 m (1.64 ft) of cable is required to connect the Heinzmann Tester to the SW 50-03 Setpoint Adjuster. If the Boost Pressure Dependent Fuel Limitation is NOT utilized, the Heinzmann Tester can be connected directly to the KG30 Governor Control Unit without using the test plug. A digital voltmeter can be used for setting the fuel limits. The digital voltmeter can be connected to the KG30 Governor Control Unit at TP6 and OV (feedback voltage).Basic Setting
During adjustment, the engine MUST NOT be started. If the engine is started, it will run up to overspeed. Engine overspeed could result in damage to equipment and/or personal injury.
A voltage and/or current supply and a pressure transducer are needed for the basic setting.1. Remove the pickup cable from terminal 7 and 8 of the SW 50-03 Setpoint Adjuster and connect the special connector of the previous section to terminals 7 and 8. Terminal 7 goes to pin B, and terminal 8 goes to pin A.2. Connect the PG 01 Heinzmann Tester cable to the special connector and the brown wire with the clip to pin TP6 of the KG30 Governor Control Unit.3. Set the selector switch on the Start Fuel Limiter board inside of the KG30 Governor Control Unit to the OFF (position 2 or 3).4. Set the fuel limit selector (S1) on the SW 50-03 SetPoint Adjuster board to the MAXIMUM FUEL LIMIT position. Turn the Maximum Fuel Limit potentiometer (P10) 20 turns CW.5. Turn on the power to the KG30 Governor Control Unit and to the Heinzmann Tester.6. Link terminals 24 and 25. The HAND SPEEDSETTING LED, D5 should be ON.7. Turn the Hand potentiometer to the maximum CW end stop and adjust the Governor Maximum Speed (N-Max) potentiometer on the KG30 Governor Control Unit to the desired HIGH speed limit.8. Bring the Hand potentiometer to the CCW end stop position and adjust the KG30 Governor Control Unit Minimum Speed (N-min) potentiometer to the desired LOW speed limit.9. Recheck the MAXIMUM and MINIMUM limits as necessary.Remote Speed Setting
