This Program must be administered as soon as possible.When reporting the repair, use "PI31562" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Codeand "T" as the SIMS Description code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI31562" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number,"96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

PROBLEM
The vibration damper bolts/nuts need to be set to the proper torque on certain C18 marine engines with optional front accessory drive. These fastners were improperly tightened when the engine was assembled.

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to the appropriate Service Manual as necessary for proper tightening procedure.
An engine rotating tool may be required to hold the crankshaft from rotating while tightening the fastners.
Tighten the fasteners on the vibration damper to the appropriate torque specifications shown in Image1 and Image2.
For engines in Group 1 of the affected product, tighten fastners to the torque shown in Image1.
For engines in Group 2 of the affected product, tighten fastners to the torque shown in Image2.
