Remove the seat. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Seat - Remove and Install".
Disconnect the negative battery cable (1). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Inspect/Replace".

Disconnect harness assembly (3) .
Remove nut (4) and disconnect cable assembly (5) .
Remove bolts (7) and electric starting motor (6) .Installation Procedure

Position electric starting motor (6) and install bolts (7) .
Connect cable assembly (5) and tighten nut (4) to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
