If the part number is known for the software that is currently in the ECM, use Method A. If only the engine serial number is known, use Method B.Method A
Logon to the TMI system. Select "GKN401".
Select program number 02, which is "Part Number Consists".
After the next screen appears, type in the software part number. Type in 04 for the "Selection Code".
The next screen will display the current software part number. The part number will appear on the right hand side of the screen and previous software part numbers will be to the left.Method B
Logon to the TMI system. Select "GKN401".
Select program number 05, which is "Engine History Information".
Under "Inquiry 2 -- As Shipped Consist", type the engine serial number in the "Reference Number" area. Type 01 in the "Information Code" area.
The parts list will be displayed on the screen. Break down the PA and the engine arrangement in order to find the Control Group or the Electronics Group.
After finding the part number of the Service Replacement for the Control Group or Electronics Group, use Method A to determine if this is the most recent release of the software.
