Start By:
a. Prepare the machine for maintenance. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Prepare the Machine for Maintenance".

Note: The sight glass windows for LAJ622-Up and ; WSP130-Up are for visual inspections every 500 service hours or monthly. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Magnetic Screen - Check" for additional information.
Remove hardware for the screen cover, and store the hardware for reuse.
Remove the screen cover, and store the cover for reuse.

Remove the seals, and store the seals for reuse.
Remove the magnetic tube assemblies, and store the assemblies for reuse.

Remove the screens, and store the screens for reuse.

Do not drop or rap the magnets against any hard objects. Replace any damaged magnets.
Remove the magnets from the tube assemblies, and store the magnets for reuse.

Do not drop or rap the magnets against any hard objects. Replace any damaged magnets.
Clean the magnets and the tube assemblies in a clean, nonflammable solvent. Clean the magnets with a cloth, a stiff bristle brush, or air pressure.
Install the clean magnets on the clean tube assemblies.

Clean the screens in a clean, nonflammable solvent.

Install the screens.
Install the magnetic tube assemblies.

Clean the seals for the screen cover.
Inspect the seals. If the seals are defective, discard and replace the seals.

Install the cleaned or new seals.
Install the screen cover.
Install the hardware for the screen cover, and tighten the nuts to the proper torque.

Start the engine, and operate the engine at low idle for 5 minutes.
Check for leaks, and make any necessary repairs.

Check the oil level in the torque converter sump and, if necessary, add oil. For the proper procedure, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Torque Converter Sump Oil Level - Check".
