LoadersDescription of Change: A new radiator group is used on 988B Loaders. This new group has a folded core design. This new design gives improved serviceability. The new radiator group has 12 cores that can be serviced separately. Formerly, the radiator had only one large core. The angle of each of the new cores allows for maximum air flow around the cores. This angle will also help prevent a plugged radiator core because of debris.
A new water lines group is used with loaders that have the new radiator group.
Adaptable To: The new 2W8521 Radiator Group and 2W8874 Water Lines Group are in effect on 988B Loaders (50W6757). Because of the cost of the conversion, the procedure and parts chart will not be given. If it is necessary to remove the top or bottom tank assemblies, all the seals between the cores and the top or bottom tank assemblies must be replaced.
