Information:

Always replace the secondary element. Do not attempt to reuse it by cleaning. Engine damage could result.
Note: Replace the engine air filter secondary element when you service the engine air filter primary element for the third time. Replace the secondary element if the exhaust smoke remains black and a clean primary element has been installed.
Remove the primary element. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Air Filter Primary Element - Clean/Replace".

Remove secondary element (1) .
Cover the air inlet opening. Clean the inside of air cleaner housing (2) .
Uncover the air inlet opening. Install a new secondary element.
Install the primary element and the cover.
Close the engine hood.
