Problem
New fuel manifold assemblies and clamps that have rubber grommets need to be installed on certain 3516 Generator Set Engines (50 Hz.), and 3516 Marine Engines (Australian Patrol Craft). The new manifold and clamp combination is more resistant to cracking.

Remove the existing manifolds and seals. Replace them with the new 4P5496 Manifold Assembly (RH), 4P5497 Manifold Assembly (LH), and the new seals.
Replace the two sets of clamps on the front of the engine that fasten the crossover tubes to the engine. Replace these clamps with the new 4P0693 Clamps. Reuse the existing bolts and washers.
