A number of manufacturing issues that are impacting the reliability of snowblowers have been identified. These issues include: A. Auger key moving past retaining washer causing auger to stall out under load.B. Loose Allen screws on impeller and auger keyways.C. Impeller/auger interference on 67" and 85" models.D. Chute rotator chain length too long on 73" and 85" models.E. Chute rotator chain cover interference with chute.F. Impeller to housing interference.G. Impeller motor/impeller shaft misalignment.H. Improper chute bolt installation.I. Chute rotator motor deflection.J. Chute deflector bleed down.K. System pressure not to specification.Solution:
Product Support, Engineering, and Purchasing are continuing to work with the supplier to resolve this situation. To date, the corrective actions include the following items:* All units will be recalled and subsequently replaced with new units.* Recall/replacement will include all units that have been shipped to dealers.* All shipping and transportation costs as a result of the recall/replacement of the units will be borne by the supplier.* No warranty claims are required to be submitted by the dealer.* NACD will coordinate the recall and replacement activities.Actions are being taken to identify and contact all dealers who have this product. Any dealers who have this product and who have not yet been contacted are requested to call Kent Pellegrini (NACD BCP Work Tools) at 309-675-6158.
