TURBOCHARGER GP 7E9169 - Caterpillar

Remove Turbocharger (Industrial Engine)
1. Disconnect oil drain line (4). Remove oil supply line (3).2. Remove clamp (1).3. Remove bolt (2) and washer.4. Fasten a hoist to the turbocharger. Weight is 65 lb. (29 kg). 5. Remove bolts (5) and nuts that hold the turbocharger and the exhaust elbow to the exhaust manifold. 6. Remove turbocharger from the pipe (6) and the hose (7). 7. Remove clamp (9). Remove exhaust elbow (8) from the turbocharger. Remove adapter (10) from the turbocharger.Install Turbocharger (Industrial Engine)
1. Put liquid soap on O-ring seals (4). Install adapter (5) to the turbocharger (3).2. Install exhaust elbow (1) to the turbocharger (3). Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of clamp (2). Install the clamp. 3. Fasten a hoist to the turbocharger. Put liquid soap on the O-ring seals (7). Connect the turbocharger to the hose (8) and the pipe (6) and put in position on the manifold. 4. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on threads of seven bolts (9). Install bolts (9) and nuts that hold the turbocharger and exhaust elbow to the exhaust manifold. Tighten bolts to a torque of 40 4 lb.ft. (55 5 N m). 5. Install bolt (10) and washer.6. Install clamp (11).7. Connect oil drain line (13). Install oil supply line (12).
