Information:
1. Activate the parking brake.2. Connect the steering frame lock link. See "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.3. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows:a. Move the lift control lever to the "Float" position.b. Shut off the engine.c. Move the lift control lever to the "Float" position.d. Shut off the engine.e. Move the lift control lever to the "Hold" position.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Be sure all the hydraulic pressure is released before any fittings, hoses or components are loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.
f. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.g. Carefully loosen the plugs at the rear of the tilt cylinder. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two plugs. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs.h. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank.i. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Remove all sheet metal and drain hydraulic tank. 4. Disconnect hose and tube assemblies (1) from bottom of tank. 5. Support tank using tooling (A) and hoist. Remove mounting bolts (2) and remove hydraulic tank.6. Weight of the tank is approximately 104 kg (230 lb). Install in the reverse order.7. Remove the protective plugs, and install the hydraulic tank in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the bolts that fasten the hydraulic tank supports to the frame to a torque of 270 40 N m (200 30 lb ft).8. Fill the hydraulic system to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.9. Separate the steering frame lock link. See "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.Disassemble & Assemble Hydraulic Tank
Start By:a. remove hydraulic tank 1. Remove elbows (1), (2), (3) and (4) from the hydraulic tank. 2. Remove plate (5) from the side of the hydraulic tank. 3. Remove cover (6) and filter element (7).4. Remove oil filter bypass valve (8).5. Remove strainer (9) and strainer (10). The following steps are for assembly of the hydraulic tank.6. Inspect all parts, and replace them as necessary. If the oil level sight gauge was removed, tighten the two screws that hold if to a torque of 24 3 N m (41 2 lb ft).7. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the hydraulic tank and plate (5).8. Assemble the hydraulic tank components in reverse order. Tighten the bolt that secures the hydraulic filter cover to a torque of 56 3 N m (41 2 lb ft). 9. Peel the tape from
