Remove the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission and Output Transfer Gears - Remove".

(1) 0L-1178 Bolt (2) 5P-8248 Hard Washer
Remove and discard eight 0L-1178 Bolts (1) and eight 5P-8248 Hard Washers (2) .
Thoroughly clean the bolt holes using Loctite 7649.
Install eight new 0L-1178 Bolts (1) and eight new 5P-8248 Hard Washers (2) .Note: Apply Loctite 7649 and then apply Loctite 620 to the threads of the bolts prior to assembly.

Install the transmission using Item (3) through Item (10). Refer to Illustration 2, Illustration 3, and Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission and Output Transfer Gears - Install".
