Install adjustment screws (42) onto head group (38) to the Dimension shown.
Install locknuts (41). Tighten locknuts to a torque of 190 15 N m (140 11 lb ft).

Install locating pin (40) into head group (38).

Install port plate (39) onto head group (38). Use Tooling (B) in order to hold port plate (39) in place.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install head group (38) and bolts (37). The weight of head group (38) is approximately 25 kg (54 lb).
Tighten bolts (37) to a torque of 460 60 N m (340 44 lb ft).

Install O-ring seal (35), plug (36), O-ring seals (32), and plugs (33) into pump assembly (34).
Install O-ring seal (31), cover (30), and bolts (29) onto pump assembly (34).

Apply Tooling (A) onto threads of orifice (25). Install orifice (25) into valve body (2). Tighten orifice (25) to a torque of 4.9 1 N m (43.36868 8.85075 lb in). Install plug (24). Tighten plug (24) to a torque of 13 1 N m (115 8 lb in).
Apply Tooling (A) onto threads of orifice (26). Install orifice (26) into valve body (2). Tighten orifice (25) to a torque of 4.9 1 N m (43.36868 8.85075 lb in). Install plug (28) and O-ring seal (7). Tighten plug (28) to a torque of 21 2 N m (15.5 1.5 lb ft).

Install retainer (23), springs (22), spacer (21), O-ring seal (20), and adapter (19) into valve body (2). Tighten adapter (19) to a torque of 100 10 N m (74 7lb ft).
Install set screw (17) and sealing nut (18) onto adapter (19). Tighten sealing nut (18) to a torque of 23 1.5 N m (17 1 lb ft).
Install retainer (16), springs (15), retainer (14), O-ring seal (13), and adapter (12) into valve body (2). Tighten adapter (12) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 37 lb ft).
Install set screw (10) and sealing nut (11) onto adapter (12). Tighten sealing nut (11) to a torque of 23 1.5 N m (17 1 lb ft).

Install O-ring seals (6) onto valve body (2).
Install spool (7), O-ring seal (8), and plug (9). Tighten plug (9) to a torque of 21 2 N m (15.5 1.5 lb ft).
Install spool (3), O-ring seal (4), and plug (5). Tighten plug (5) to a torque of 21 2 N m (15.5 1.5 lb ft).

Install bolts (1) and valve body (2). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 12 3 N m (106.2 26.6 lb in). End By:
Install the steering pump.
