Removal Procedure

Remove drain plugs (1) and (2). Drain the engine oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures. Remove the O-ring seal from the drain plugs.
Remove bolts (3) and remove oil pan (4) .Installation Procedure
Install engine oil pan (4) in reverse order of removal.

Tightening Sequence
Tighten bolts (3) in the sequence shown in Illustration 3 to a torque of 40 5 N m (30 7 lb ft).

Retightening Sequence
Retighten bolts (3) in the sequence shown in Illustration 4 to a torque of 47 5 N m (35 4 lb ft).
Tighten drain plugs (1) to a torque of 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).
Tighten drain plugs (2) to a torque of 90 15 N m (66 11 lb ft).
