PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Remove the setscrews (item 1) and the cap nuts (item 2) that attach the head cover to rocker shaft assembly housing (item 4). Remove the cover (item 3) from the housing (item 4). Refer to Image 1.1.1.

2. Remove the six bolts (item 6) holding the breather retaining plate (item 7) in place and remove the plate. Refer to Image 1.2.1.

3. Clean any residual sealant from the valve cover where the breather plate has been removed.
4. Fit the new 320-8401 Breather Retaining Plate (item 8). Do not use sealant when fitting the new plate. Re-use the original bolts and tighten to 13 lb in (1.5 Nm). Refer to Image 1.3.1.

5. Install the new 233-0695 Valve Cover Seal to the valve cover. See item 5, in Image 1.1.1
6. Re-assemble valve cover to housing. Install and tighten screws and cap nuts (items 1 and 2) to 10 lb ft. (14 Nm).
When installing the cap nuts use new 190-3762 Sealing Washers (item 9). Refer to Image 1.1.1
