Start By:a. remove track roller frames **Remove either the right or left track roller frame. This operation was done with the right track roller frame removed.
Typical Example1. Put wooden blocks (1) under the track. Put tooling (A) in position on the track and the edge of the track roller frame. This will be used to hold the track roller frame in position.2. Remove bottom guards. 3. Remove two nuts (2), the four washers and the two bolts securing the hard bar pin. Remove two bolts (4) and the two washers.

It will take several adjustments of tooling (B) to remove the end pin from the machine. Use tooling (A) if needed to remove any weight from the end pin.
4. Install tooling (B) and fasten a hoist to tooling (B). Remove hardbar end pin (3). It is not necessary to remove the front bolts from the frame saddles.5. Remove the clips, nuts and washers that hold bolts (5) in the two frame saddles. Remove bolts (5).
Typical Example6. Fasten a hoist to the end of the hardbar that still has the track roller frame installed. 7. Install tooling (B) and fasten a hoist to tooling (B). Remove the pin that holds the hardbar to the left frame saddle with tooling (B). Remove the hoist from the hardbar.
Typical Example8. Fasten a hoist to the other end of the hardbar as shown. Install tooling (B) and fasten a hoist to tooling (B). Remove the pin that holds the hardbar to the right frame saddle.
Typical Example9. Install the end pin in the hardbar. Fasten a nylon strap to the hardbar and to a lift truck or similar machine.
Typical Example10. Slide hardbar (6) out until pins (7) and (8) that hold the hardbar in the frame saddles can be installed. Put tooling (C) in position. Install pins (7) and (8) and fasten a hoist to the hardbar as shown on the outside of each of the pins. Pins (7) and (8) must be installed so the nylon straps will not slide as the hardbar is removed. Remove hardbar (6). The weight is 310 kg (1050 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the hardbar.
Typical Example11. Install pins (7) and (8) that hold the hardbar in the frame saddles. Fasten a hoist to the hardbar as shown on the outside of each of the pins. Pins (7) and (8) must be installed so the nylon straps will not slide as the hardbar is installed. Slide the hardbar (6) into the frame saddle until the nylon strap makes contact with the frame saddle.12. Put tooling (C) in position under the hardbar. Remove the hoist. Remove pins (7) and (8) from the hardbar.
Typical Example13. Fasten a hoist to the end of the hardbar and slide the hardbar in to position. Make an alignment of the hole in the hardbar with the holes in the frame saddle.14. Install tool (D) in the end of pin (7). Use a hammer and tool (D) and install pin (7).
