(L2) Ladder latch locking pins
With the bolts loose, raise the ladder. As locking pins (L2) engage the ladder, the latch should align to the ladder. Ladder latch locking pins (L2) should be fully engaged (top and bottom) before advancing to the next Step. If locking pins (L2) are not fully engaged, repeat this Step, making sure that the components are loose as per the previous Step. Refer to Illustration 17.Note: Grease pins (L2) after assembly to prevent wear on the pins and the mating holes.

If ladder latch (1A) needs to be tilted, add shim packs (16) and (17) as needed. Refer to Illustration 20. Repeat the tightening sequence in the previous Step.

After adjusting ladder latch (1A), lower the ladder. Adjust bracket assembly (5A) as needed. Tighten 2 bolts (6A). Refer to Illustration 21.
