implement lockout feature ensures that the machine is in a safe, inoperable state during the following events:
Starting the machine
The ECM detects a FMI 03 diagnostic code for one of the following implements:bowl, ejector, apron, elevator and augerWhen the Wheel Tractor-Scraper is started, the pilot supply solenoid is de-energized. The solenoid will not be energized until all signals from the joystick (PWM) are in the neutral position for two seconds. This ensures that the implements will not suddenly move when the machine is started. When the machine is shut off, the pilot supply solenoid is de-energized.If an FMI 03 diagnostic code is detected in for any of the implement solenoids, the pilot supply solenoid will be de-energized. This turns off the main pilot pressure. The pilot supply solenoid will be de-energized while the FMI 03 diagnostic code is present. The short to the + battery circuit may cause current to flow to the solenoid. Therefore, pilot pressure would be present, even though the ECM is not sending a command in order to energize the solenoid.If the FMI 03 diagnostic code becomes inactive, then all of the PWM signals from the joystick must be in the neutral position for at least two seconds before the pilot supply solenoid will be energized. If the FMI 03 diagnostic code is intermittent, the pilot supply solenoid will de-energize until the PWM signals are neutral for two seconds.If an FMI 03 diagnostic code is detected for the pilot supply solenoid, the Machine Control ECM is unable to inhibit flow to the pilot hydraulics. Therefore, all implement solenoids will be set to the minimum command. This ensures that the implements will not move. An FMI 04 or FMI 05 diagnostic code for the pilot supply solenoid is reported as a fault (level 1). An FMI 03 diagnostic code for the pilot supply solenoid is reported as a fault (level 1).
