Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install bearings (2) and (1) fully in the bore of housing (3).

Lower the temperature of shaft assembly (4). Install shaft assembly (4). Ensure that bearing (2) is installed fully against the shoulder on shaft assembly (4).

Place retainer plate (5) into position.
Place the washers and the bolts that hold the retainer plate in position, but do not tighten. Push thrust plate (5) toward the groove of the shaft as far as possible. Tighten the bolts that hold thrust plate (5) in place.

Apply clean engine oil on O-ring seal (7) and install O-ring seal (7) in housing (6). End By:
Install the accessory drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Accessory Drive - Install" for the engine that is being serviced.
