(1) 308-1427 Bracket (2) 3B-1915 Bolt (3) 9S-8752 Full Nut (4) 9X-6458 Hard Washer (5) 348-2308 Bracket The new 308-1427 Bracket and the new 348-2308 Bracket are a direct replacement for the 224-6805 Bracket As. The brackets are adaptable back to first production of the engine. The new parts and new hardware are listed in Table 1.

Remove the bolts (6) and bolts (8), which secure the upper heat exchanger's bracket (7). Refer to Illustration 2.
Remove the old upper heat exchanger's bracket. Refer to Illustration 2.

Loosen the four bolts (9) that secure the lower heat exchanger's bracket (10). Refer to Illustration 3.
Pull the heat exchanger away from the 90 degree bend on the heat exchanger's lower bracket.

Tighten the bolts (9) that secure the heat exchanger's lower bracket (10). Refer to Illustration 4.Tighten the bolts to the following torque. ... 105 N m (77 lb ft)
Use the following items to assemble the two new brackets: bolts, washers and nuts. Hand tighten the bolts.
Install the new bracket onto the engine.
Install the bolts that were removed in Step 5.
