Select "TCS Operator Input" from the "Status" menu.

Scroll down the menu to view the status of the thumb wheels.
Confirm the signal from the thumb wheels is within the specifications given in Table 1.

The following procedure will allow the user to calibrate the joystick thumb wheel using the Cat Electronic Technician.

Diagnostic connector for Cat Electronic Technician
Connect the Cat Electronic Technician to the diagnostic connector located behind the seat on the left side of the cab.

Start Cat Electronic Technician.

Select the ECM for "Machine Control".

Select "Calibrations" from the "Service"menu.

Highlight "Modulation Input Calibrations" and click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the screen.

Select the control input to calibrate and press the "Begin" button.

Follow the instructions on the screen. Press "Next" button to continue through to the next step.
If the calibration was successful and no errors occurred, the display will indicate that the calibration is complete. Press the "Finish" button to exit or move on to the next calibration.
If the calibration failed, the calibration is not saved. Press the "Restart" button to try the calibration again or press the "Finish" button to exit or move on to the next calibration. Test Procedure
Confirm the calibration using the following procedure and specifications.

Select "Status" from the "Information" menu or press the "Status" button on the tool bar.

Select "Tool Control Operator Input Status" from the menu on the left to observe the signal position status of the thumb wheel to the machine ECM.
Confirm the signal from the thumb wheels is within the specifications given in Table 1.
