ACTION REQUIRED
The inner swing gear bolts need to be inspected, and if needed, replaced.
Refer to TEBE0708 service letter "PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR REWORKING ALL INNER BOLTS MAINTAINING THE SWING GEAR BEARING ON THE CARBODY ON CERTAIN 390D EXCAVATORS", before proceeding with this rework procedure .
After inspection of the potential swing gear bearing movement on the carbody and if a movement between both components is found, continue with the following Rework Procedure.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Remove the swing bearing. Refer to KENR6408, Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Gear and Bearing - Remove", for additional instructions.
Note: When re-installing the swing bearing you must follow the instructions below for the assembly. Refer to KENR6408, Disassembly and assembly, "Swing Gear and Bearing - Install", for additional instructions.
2. After removing the swing bearing, check the mating surface and threads of the carbody, if they are all ok, continue the procedure.
3. Degrease the swing bearing face receiving the spacers with a suitable solvent or degreaser.
4. Only the new 199-4502 Bolts and 453-1667 Spacers must be used. Refer to Image1.3.1 to identify the two types of bolts allowed for this rework. Before installation of the new components, degreasing of the components could be needed to clean bolts and spacers. Use a suitable solvent or degreaser.

5. Once dry, apply 5P-3931 Antiseize on the bolt threads.
6. Tighten the bolts to a specified pre-torque of 450 N.m +/- 50 plus an angle of 90 degrees +/- 5.
