Use a press and Tooling (C) in order to compress the spring. Install retaining ring (29) with Tooling (B). Slowly release the spring.

Note: Apply clean oil to the components before assembly.
Turn over swashplate (21). Install pump pistons (22) and retraction plate (27). Install bearings (24) and bolts (25). Apply 4C-9507 Retaining Compound to the threads of the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb ft).
Install actuator pistons (23) and (26). Install actuator rod (28) .

Install swashplate (21) with pump pistons (22) on cylinder barrel (11) .

Install bearing (19) and seal ring (20) on shaft (18) .

Position shaft (18) in cylinder barrel (11) .

Turn over the cylinder barrel. Heat bearing (17) to a temperature of 135 °C (275 °F) for ten minutes. Install bearing (17) on shaft (18) .

Install the following components in pump housing (13) : lip seal (16) and retaining ring (15) .

Turn over housing (13). Install cradle (12) with bearing cup (14) in pump housing (13) .

Install cylinder barrel (11) with the swashplate and with the shaft.

Install the following components in the pump head: the spring retainer, the spring, the original spacers behind bearing cup (10) (not shown) and bearing cup (10). Use Tooling (A) in order to compress the spring, as shown. Use Tooling (B) in order to install retaining ring (9). Release the spring tension with Tooling (A) .

Install port plate (8) on pump head (7). Make sure that the dowel is engaged.

Lubricate the surfaces of the cylinder barrel and of the port plate. Install pump head (7) and bolts (6). Lightly apply 5P-3413 Sealant to the mating surfaces of the pump housing and of the pump head. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 190 25 N m (140 20 lb ft).
Position cover (5) and install bolts (4) .

Install pressure and flow compensator valve (2) and bolts (1) on the implement and steering pump (3). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 34 7 N m (25 5 lb ft).End By: Install the implement and steering pump.
