Note: Do not disconnect the four pin shift handle connector.
Handle in Neutral Position
Pin 5 on the shift handle should be equal to the +battery.
Pin 7 on the shift handle should be equal to the +battery.
Handle in Forward Position
+Battery voltage should be read between pin 11 and pin 12.
Handle in Reverse Position
+Battery voltage should be read between pin 9 and pin 10. Pin 3 should equal the +battery voltage.
Place the F/N/R switch in neutral. Make sure that the four pin connector is connected.
Reconnect the twelve pin connector.
For the ECM, measure voltages on the harness to the shifter. Measure voltages with pin 2 as the reference. See the following table.

Voltage measurements indicate the problem area. - Repair: Correct the problem. Stop.
