Removal of Existing Transmission Mounting Group
Care must be exercised in the removal of the existing transmission mounting group .Ensure that the transmission is supported properly before removing the transmission mounting group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.

Remove four bolts (1), four washers (2), and four spacers (3) that secure the top bracket assembly (4) to the transmission.
Remove bolt (5) and remove top bracket assembly (4) .
Remove four bolts (6), four washers (7), and four nuts (8) and remove the bracket (9) and any shims.Discard items (4), (5) and (9). Replace the items with new components. Refer to table 1 below.Required Parts
These parts are required for the installation of the new transmission mounting group. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 3.

Position bracket (15). Insert four bolts (6), four nuts (8), and four washers (7) .Note: Replace the same number of shims that were removed during the removal of the old transmission mounting group .
Position the top bracket assembly (16) on the transmission and insert four bolts (1), four washers (2), and four spacers (3) .
Assemble both mounts. Refer to Illustration 2.
Insert two bolts (5), four washers (12), and two nuts (13) .
Refer to Specifications for the correct procedure for the installing and aligning the transmission.
Once all the components are installed, tighten the bolts to the following torque values:The torque setting for the top front mounting bolts (5) is 360 50 N m (265 37 lb ft).The torque setting for bolts (1) and bolts (6) is 215 40 N m (160 30 lb ft).
