Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the track roller frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame - Remove".

Remove bolts (2) .
Support pivot shaft (1) with a suitable lifting device.
Install bolts (2) in threaded holes (3) in order to separate the pivot shaft from the machine.
Remove pivot shaft (1). The weight of pivot shaft (1) is approximately 36 kg (79.0 lb).

Check the condition of seal (4) and ring (5) on pivot shaft (1). If necessary, replace the parts.Installation Procedure

If ring (5) was removed from pivot shaft (1), raise the temperature of new ring (5) to a maximum temperature of 135° C (275.0° F). Install ring (5) on pivot shaft (1) .
Install seal (4) .

Put Tooling (A) on the short end of pivot shaft (1) .
Use a suitable lifting device in order to position pivot shaft (1) on the machine. The weight of pivot shaft (1) is approximately 36 kg (79.0 lb).
Align the short end and the bolt holes of pivot shaft (1) .Note: If necessary, use bolts that are longer than original bolts (2) in order to press the short end of pivot shaft (1) in the machine. After the pivot shaft has been seated, replace the longer bolts with original bolts (2) .
Install bolts (2) .
