This Special Instruction is for engines that have the 4W-9733 Governor Control As . If the 4W-9733 Governor Control As does not seem to monitor the engine speed properly, then install the new 234-8717 Switch . The new 234-8717 Switch can now be installed in order to have a more reliable speed sensor. This Special Instruction gives the proper instructions for replacing the 4W-9733 Governor Control As with the 234-8717 Switch .The Procedure for Inside the Engine Mounted Instrument Panel

Loosen the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2). Slide the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2) along the rail as the arrow shows above. Make sure in order to keep the 121-3328 Marker Kit (1) in the current location. Only slide the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2) down the rail. The new space that was just created will allow the space for the new 234-8717 Switch .
Install the 234-8717 Switch on the rail. Install the 234-8717 Switch between the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2) and the 121-3328 Marker Kit (1). This space was created in Step 1 when the 9X-9675 End Bracket was moved down the rail.
Slide the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2) and the new 234-8717 Switch up the rail. Slide the 234-8717 Switch to the 121-3328 Marker Kit (1) .
Slide the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2) to the new 234-8717 Switch . Tighten the screws in order to secure the 9X-9675 End Bracket (2) .

Remove the black wire from terminal five on the 4W-9733 Governor Control As
